Yes, it's extraordinary here. The preparations that are going on, repairing the cobblestones, sending out the street cleaners, teams of extra traffic police, they're closing off the whole town centre later today so that everything is ready.
There are lots of red and white flowers out. They're in honour of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes because they will be here, certainly tomorrow for some sort of celebration. The chances are there might have to be a civil ceremony before and that might happen today in Rome which is where the couple are staying.
But certainly the big event will be here and this is where all the celebrities are heading for. The couple were out last night, in fact, in Rome having dinner at a restaurant not far from their hotel, close to the Spanish Steps. It's the first time they've been seen by the TV cameras since they arrived in Rome and they went for a dinner, we're told, a traditional Italian meal and that really was the first official part of this event.
The celebrities are now arriving, there will things going on today, including that possible civil wedding but then, really, tomorrow is when they arrive here to this marvellous castle at Bracciano overlooking the lake and this is where, in the eyes of their friends, they'll finally get married.
The problem has been, all along, of course, as Tom Cruise is a scientologist, a twice divorced one as well, and yet, Katie Holmes' family is a catholic family and they wanted, certainly their parents wanted some catholic element to the service. So they have to find a way through that minefield before they can hold the service, but certainly all the celebrities will be here for the wedding service itself on Saturday.
